Let me start by saying I’m not at all, in any way, shape or form Irish. Nothing. The girls are half Italian and the other half is more a mixed up pie chart. I don’t *think* they’re Irish either. However, there is one day a year I pretend to be Irish. Or at the very least, Irish-ish.
On Friday they kids came up BUZZING about all the tricks the different leprechauns pulled at school. Apparently this happened in Elementary School and their After School Programs. Seriously, if we had a nickel every time “the leprechaun” was brought up in conversation, we’d could’ve easily made $10. It went so far that Giulietta made a trap for one.

That night after they went to bed, I thought about giving them a little something to talk about in the morning. Not only did I get cool mom points for getting donuts at the grocery store, but this momma acted as a leprechaun for the first time. It was nothing fancy – just some green milk.

They were STOKED. Giulietta more than anyone. Evan snickered at me and Damiana just thought it was cool. So in the spirit of the day, the girls asked for some make up. I normally don’t oblige, but what the hay, it’s a holiday. We were staying home. What’s a little green eye shadow and some glitter? Besides, they’d look glamorous riding their scooters around the neighborhood. This time, I gave in but there was one condition. Photos for me.

Hope you all had a great St. Patty’s Day.
