The Carriage House Wedding: Nicole & Peter

“I bring the rain”, she whispered.  ”Without fail, every time I want photos, I bring the rain.”

Their wedding day forecast called for rain, but honestly? It didn’t matter.  This relationship .. this marriage has been in the making for a long time and rain wasn’t going to stop it!  Peter and Nicole opted to do a first look with their son, Zachy.  Seriously, best idea ever.  They were able to enjoy each other alone before the mad chaos which is a normal wedding day.  Just as we were getting ready for the ceremony, the skies turned gray and we relocated to under a tent.  This sweet and simple ceremony came along with laughter, tears, and heart felt touches.  We beat the rain and during the first dance, the sky opened up and torrential downpour began to fall.  Did it matter at that point?  No.  Every thing was absolutely perfect.

Nicole’s Rustic Shabby Chic wedding details were all created by hand.  In the midst of wedding planning, she finally listened to the advice of some loved ones and friends (me) and opened up her own shop on Etsy or you can find her there or here on Facebook. Her attention to detail is impeccable.  The creativity and gorgeousness she created for her own wedding was jaw dropping.  (Seriously? I was a kid in the candy store.)

Nicole & Peter, I wish you two and Zachy, nothing but the very best.  You’ve allowed me into your world, and because of that – I now have another best friend.  Thank you both for everything.  Love you.
